WELCOME

Let’s begin

with YOU

You've worked hard to get where you are. Whether you've created a life, a relationship, a family, a career, a business, an organization, or something else - you've invested your time, effort, and yourself.

And, still there's something deeper that calls to you...

Yes, your life is "fine," or even "good." But still, you find yourself wondering, "If only I had more fill in the blank in my life...or "Is this all there is?" or "How do I get from here to where I truly want to be?"

Or maybe you find yourself caught in the "when-then" loop - "When I... then I'll..." but "then" never seems to arrive.

I get. And I've been there.

And I am on a mission to help you re-imagine and reignite your relationship with yourself and your life. And your leadership - however you definite it. To help you lean into possibility. Whether you want more financial success, more intimacy, a new career, a promotion, or a partner. Or maybe you want to write a book, start your own business, or take your organization to the next level – you have the power within you to do it.

And I'm right here with you. Together, we create the change you want to see in your life.

I BELIEVE…

Everything in our lives is inter-related, there is an intersectionality to everything. How you relate to yourself affects how you relate to everyone and everything around you. What you do (and how you show up) matters. It matters to the people around you, and it matters to our world. It matters to your heart and soul.

You are powerful, a powerful force of nature to be specific. You are a leader in your life, and in your world. You have the ability to step into your leadership and create powerful change in your life, your world, and THE world.

I am on a mission to help you reimagine and reignite your relationship with yourself, your life and with with leadership - however, you define it.

My Personal Journey

What’s in a name?

Sometimes, I think our names shape our destiny. My name, Stacia, comes from the Greek for resurrection. To me, it speaks to all the ways I have picked myself up out of the ashes and reinvented myself throughout my life.

What’s love got to do with it?

I grew up in a tiny town nestled in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, steeped in the folklore of Rip Van Winkle and Washington Irving’s Headless Horseman. A place not far from Woodstock. THE Woodstock. A place of natural beauty and magic.

A perfect storm

Like most teens, I wanted to fit in and to be uniquely me. Excelling at academics gave me a way to fit in - and to divert attention from my parents' alcoholism and its impact on our family. With few outlets for self-expression, I turned to poetry and fashion. Poetry gave me a private means of self-expression. Fashion gave me a visible one.

Eventually all of this became a perfect storm for overachievement, perfectionism, and body image issues.

The Berlin Wall and the Gulf War

So how does a Type-A, introverted, poet and perfectionist with a degree in creative writing and acting go from running a live theater in Europe during the fall of the Berlin Wall to a 20+ year career in high tech?

Realizing that I probably need to make more than the $8 an hour I calculated my teaching job was actually paying eventually led me to a writing job in high tech after I returned from Europe.

Crash & burn(out)

The excitement of working with talented people on innovative products while actually making a living wage soon gave way to the reality of 65-80 work weeks. Start-ups, acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, layoffs – lather, rinse, repeat. This became my life for the next 20+ years.

Eventually, all of this led to burnout. Burnout wasn’t just something I experienced, it was something I lived trapped inside of, on and off, for years.

Quiet quitting? Been there, done that. In my LIFE, as well as in my job. But this was the bargain I made with my LIFE for my CAREER. And by many definitions, I was “making it.” But at what cost?

The body electric

It wasn’t until my 2nd year at the University of Santa Monica, that I finally reached a cease-fire in the war I’d been waging against my body since I was 12. Somehow - through expressive art and writing, as well as deep exploration of my beliefs, stories, and patterns - I began to relax the judgments and expectations I had of my body. And this transformation of my relationship with my body began to unlock the other ways in which I related to myself as well.

“And the time came, when risk to remain tight in a bud, was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Anais Nin

In 2015, I began my journey toward becoming a certified, professional coach. Like any career transition, there have been ups and downs along the way. Regardless of how many coach trainings I took, it wasn't until I invested in working 1:1 with an exceptional coach that I began to make progress. With her guidance, I did the inner work of identity transformation to lay down my image of myself as a tech professional. I began taking full responsibility for my life, and looking at the patterns, beliefs, and fears that were keeping from the life I truly felt called to. I struggled to create a definition of success and of leadership for myself. But I kept going. I knew it was where I was meant to be.

The ground of possibility...

Today, I am blessed to live in the beautiful countryside outside of Washington, D.C. with my partner. My relationships, coaching, art, and volunteering are the heart of my life. I continue to study both relationship and leadership, while gaining insights into the nuances of each through my own life and relationships. Becoming a coach has lead me to deeper levels of self-leadership than I ever anticipated.

Going forward, I am committed to re-imagining our definition of leadership. I believe that we, and our world, need an image of leadership that is inclusive and that has humanity, courage and curiosity at its heart. One that is grounded in our connectedness, with each other, our communities, and our planet. And one that is representative of all of us, regardless of color, race, religion, gender or expression. This is the vision of leadership I aspire to and that I help my clients to step into. In their lives and in the world.

GIVING BACK

As a relational leadership coach, I believe that we are intimately connected with everything and everyone around us. And that the actions we take create a ripple effect in the lives of others and in the world.

Therefore, I believe in giving back and making a difference.

In fact, I have at times, made it a requirement of my clients to volunteer with causes that matter to them.

Organizations I have been honored to volunteer with and/or support:
